I've been living on some borrowed time

Hey y'all! It's been a while. I've been working full time this summer and taking weekend  trips here and there. So far I've made it to Nashville, D.C., Chicago, New Orleans and about to squeeze in one last trip to SC/NC before school is back in session in three weeks time. Anyway, I apologize for neglecting this blog. I'm hoping to update it with all my summer fun over the next few days.

So here's the first set of photos. Back in May just after classes finished, myself and friend Eleana took a weekend trip to Nashville. I haven't been to Nashville since my first trip with my sister in October 2010. Eleana and I checked out a few of my favourite spots from the first trip, as well as some new ones. It was a wonderful weather all weekend, gloriously sunny.

We arrived late on Friday night, just in time to head to the Mercy Lounge to see Night Beds, my oh my, that man's voice is beautiful. Saturday day time we walked around downtown, had far too much good food and headed to our guilty pleasure, the Cheesecake Factory. On Sunday we waited for Pancake Pantry. The hour and half wait was well worth it for the chocolate sin crepes I ordered and afterwards we headed to Grimey's record store and I bought my first vinyl, the new Vampire Weekend album! We also did a little stop in Franklin, Tennessee, a beautiful town about a thirty minute drive outside of the city on Sunday before we headed back to Oxford. We hit up Franklin's local Publix grocery store for some British goodies we'd been missing from home as well. All in all, a wonderful weekend.
